Hastighed dræber

I påsken blev 13 personer dræbt i drafikken. Senest 4 unge mennesker i en og samme bil, der ramte et træ efter at føreren mistede kontrollen over bilen.

Fire til fem gange om året kører jeg til Italien og retur. Mange kører rigtig stærkt, men efter forholdene. Når der dukker en farlig situation op, så er det som regel omkring de større byer og i forbindelse med unge mænd, der kører hasarderet på motorvejen.
Der er kun een løsning på dette problem. Når de unge som 18 årig har fået deres kørekort, så starter de med 3 klip i kortet. Der skal derfor kun een hændelse til at kortet bliver fradømt igen. Efter nogle år - f.eks. 2 år, så fjernes det ene klip og en hændelse udløser en betinget fradømmelse af kørekortet. Efter endnu 2 år fjernes endnu et klip og de normale regler for tildeling af klip og straf anvendes. Efter yderligere 2 år fjernes et klip etc.

Det gælder om at give de unge billister - især de unge drenge/"mænd" et signal fra dag eet af. Politiet og samfundet vil ikke tolerere een eneste overtrædelse af færdselsloven. Så ryger kortet med det samme.

Two Paths - Day 64

Days are going by - time is flying - we are getting older - the world is moving. Tic Tac Tic Tac. My professional career has come to a halt and it's time to reflect about the possibilities that opens up in such a situation. It's been a month since I stopped at Strålfors and all days (and some nights) has been used to reflect upon this situation. I've chosen to follow the obvious path - find a new job - and all my network is being activated. But another path has slowly emerged - and to no ones surprise - this path evolves around photography. I'm not talking about becoming a photographer, but to become part of the industry. Tomorrow I'll fly to Stockholm to meet some interesting people who successfully has opened a photography museum in Stockholm - Fotografiska.eu - and I'm going to here about their project and journey. Press photographer has to face a lot of moral issues

Every year we hear about press photographers being killed while trying to capture a decisive photo and document the truth. They also have to face a bunch of moral issues while being close to death and people in need of help. In my opinion it is vital to capture a photo that can influence decisions on a large scale. But when faced with the choice of either keep taking pictures or trying to change the course of a situation by personal interaction (and maybe risk your own life), I can only imaging the moral issues a press photographer must deal with in a few decisive seconds.
